What's In Your Mind ?????????????

This is a project is actually called "Missing Garden" by the photographer Dominik Smialowski with drawings of his friend Monika Prus. The works are reflection of nostalgia for childhood it's also a modest rebellion against adult life and small glorification of being child.

Check out more from Dominik Smialowski

FASHION MONSTER FROM ELI NEUGEBOREN

fashionmonster1.jpgIllustrator, Eli Neugeboren facebooked me about his latest project, and it is just that perfect combination of adorably creepy and beautiful! He says on his blog, “Fashion Monster was a project conceived with photographer Dustin Cohen to combine his photographs and my “monster” illustrations. We set out to create a noir feel, knowing that the monsters would upend that with their absurd placement and bright colors. Shot on location around lower Manhattan at the beginning of Fall, the light was great and the team Dustin put together created wonderful images for me to work with.” The fashion is Edelweiss by Sarah, model is Mirielle from APM Models, hair & makeup by Angelique Velez, styling by Matthew Simonelli, ahoto assistant/stunt driver is Andrew Hanenberg, photo assistant is Winfield Foster, and producers, Kids With Candy, Casey Levine & Monique Perreault.

There’s something so incredibly fun about the whole series, and will make you peer around buildings and over your shoulder as you saunter through New York… i’d love to see an animated version of this look book! See more on the next page!

Case Study - Anna Anjos Illustration

Our last wallpaper of the week was a beautiful illustration created by Anna Anjos, now we have a case study, sent by Anna, showing us a little bit of her design process. We can see how she plays with elements and textures until the final outcome, which by the way, is fantastic

Since her early days she preferred pencils and papers than conventional toys. Her first work was at age 10 where she had the opportunity to create the internal drawings of her mother's book.
In 2006 she graduated as a graphic designer at Belas Artes/SP. Her interest for cinema developed yet at her academic period.
She became researcher of the Scientific Initiation Program in Cinematographic Language and Video Design in 2005 which made possible the development of a more critical look towards the audio-visual media, researching the movie "Spider" (David Cronenberg, 2002).
She worked as a colorist and designer at Fabrica de Quadrinhos and Hiperquimica, acting for many advertising agencies in Brazil.
